About Course
Ho Sin Sool (호신술)—meaning Self-Defense—is a comprehensive Tang Soo Do course that goes far beyond memorized techniques. This training addresses real-world encounters from the very first moment of awareness, covering mindset, situational awareness, and verbal de-escalation before progressing into practical physical responses. WSU members learn how to defend against common grabs, wrist holds, chokes, caught kicks, throws, and weapon threats, as well as how to respond effectively in confined and high-risk environments such as inside a vehicle. Rooted in traditional Tang Soo Do principles yet grounded in modern reality, this course equips you with adaptable, functional self-defense skills designed to protect yourself and others with confidence, control, and clarity—making it an essential part of your self defense training.
