Dan Do (단도)—the knife or dagger—introduces Tang Soo Do practitioners to close-range weapons training that emphasizes control, precision, and situational awareness. This course teaches a traditional Tang Soo Do Dan Do hyung, along with progressive flow drills that develop timing, coordination, and adaptability under pressure. Students also explore practical self-defense applications, learning how distance, angles, and intent affect encounters involving edged weapons. Through disciplined training, practitioners gain a deeper respect for the realities of blade encounters while strengthening awareness, movement, and defensive decision-making.
